Our guy has been fairly quiet this spring. To us – that just means Albert Pujols is going to explode in the regular season. Pujols belted his first dinger of the spring which was over 440 ft. off of Tomko (former teammate). Everyone can now relax – Albert hit a homerun! I think we can still safely assume he’ll hit 40+ in 2007!

My heart skipped a beat when I heard Albert Pujols collided with umpire Joe West Tuesday afternoon. Pujols was going for a ball hit down the line when he nailed West. He fell to the ground grabbing his left shoulder in pain. After being on the ground for a few minutes – Albert got up and continued playing (WHEW).
So are we to worry that he’s not 100%? Well, Pujols erased those worries the very next at bat when he smashed a ball a billion feet (but foul). Then he continued to double to right field.
Pujols will take Wednesday off but not due to the injury. It’s his normal day off.
