Albert and Redbirds take 3-2 lead

Albert Pujols once again catapulted the Cardinals to victory Tuesday night.  Albert homerun gave the Cardinals their first run of 4 in way to beat the Mets 4-2.  Pitching was the real key to this game.  Weaver, Kinney and Wainwright were just ON.  The Cardinals are now one game away from making their 2nd World Series appearance in the last 3 years.

Pujols was a little more complimentary of Glavine after this game.  During the postgame interview Albert said things such as, "he has good stuff" and "he's nearly a 300 game winner and a future hall of famer".  Maybe critics just need to move on and forget his postgame comments from game 1.  Everyone has a bad day  :)

Hopefully Alberts hamstring can hold up for a couple more weeks.  Early reports discussed Albert not playing in the game Tuesday, but like a true champion, el hombre still played and contributed!
