Kenny Rogers and the Detroit Tigers evened up the World Series at 1 on Sunday night, as Rogers went 8 strong innings, giving up 2 hits and no runs, as the Tigers won 3-1.
The Cardinals made it interested, as with 2 outs and no one on, Scott Rolen singled, Encarnacion reached on an error, Edmonds doubled in a run to make it 3-1, 2nd and 3rd, 2 outs. Preston Wilson was then hit by a pitch to load the bases up for Yadier Molina.
Molina proceeded to ground out to short, as Todd Jones recorded the save.
The series now moves to St. Louis where the Cardinals will put Chris Carpenter up against the Tigers lefthander Nate Robertson. Check out Albert's career World Series numbers and his numbers against Robertson!
