Cardinals win game 2, one win away

Albert went 3-4, with a double, run scored, and an rbi on Thursday as the Cardinals defeated the Padres 2-0, to take a 2-0 series lead. The Cardinals now come home and look to gather one win to advance to the National League Championship Series for the third straight year.

 The Cardinals will throw Jeff Suppan against the Padres youngster Chris Young.
