MVP talk heating up..

On Sunday, the MVP talk really started to heat up in the National League. With frontrunners Ryan Howard and our man Albert Pujols BOTH hitting three homeruns in one game, the debate sparked. I am going to breakdown each candidate here below. We all know who we are APC are rooting and voting for. Enjoy.

Ryan Howard, Philadelphia Phillies. Currently 70-68, trailing the wildcard chase by one full game. Howard is 154-500 on the season, 89 runs, 18 doubles, 1 triple, 53 homerun(league leader), 1334rbi's(league leader), 76 walks, and 154 strikeouts. His batting average is .308, OBP .401, SLG .660.

Albert Pujols, St. Louis Cardinals. Currently 73-63, leading the NL Central by 6 full games. Pujols is 140-436 for a .321BA(4th in league), 101 runs, 27 doubles, 1 triple, 43 homeruns(3rd in league), 115 rbi's(2nd in league), 75 walks, 39 strikeouts, .423 OBP, .677 SLG.

Carlos Beltran, New York Mets. Currently 84-51, leading the NL East by 15.5 games. Beltran is 130-455 for a .286 batting average. 113 runs, 36 doubles, 1 triple, 39 homeruns, 112 rbi's, 75 walks, 87 K's. .386 OBP, .626 SLG.

Alfonso Soriano, Washington Nationals. Alfonso is 160-550, for a 291 batting average. 104 runs, 35 doubles, 2 triples, 44 homeruns(2nd in league), 86 rbi's, 56 walks, 133 K's. .362 OBP, .602 SLG.
