NLDS Champs!!

by admin on October 9, 2006

Although Albert did not get a hit, he made a huge difference with his 6th inning walk, coming around to score the go ahead, and winning run as the Cardinals defeated the Padres 6-2 to clinch the National League Division Series. Albert in the series went 5-15 with a homerun and 3 rbi's.

Now it is on to the Championship Series against the heavily favored New York Mets. Game 1 will feature Tom Glavine against Jeff Weaver. For all of Albert's NLCS stats check out the column on the right hand side. Also, his career numbers against Glavine have been pretty good, but one thing is missing- a homerun. Let's hope Albert gets his first on Wednesday!
