If you happened to be a betting man and Las Angeles fan you would have noticed several months ago the Angels was a huge underdog to make the playoffs yet win the world series. According to The Greek Sportsbook an online wagering company the Angels was a crazy 30-1 underdog on winning the 2012 world series. Since of the signing of Albert Pujols and a few other solid starters the Angels now have became a virtually top favorite to win this years world series. Currently the Angels are 7/1 favorites on winning the world series this year.
I personally don’t think the Angels will win it all this year so would consider that a dumb bet. I think we still have to many pitching issues along with Albert being here his first year will have to work out the kinks on lineups. I do believe the Angeles will make the playoffs just will not have the caliber of team yet to win it all. So what do we have to look for this season ? I think we all have some curiosity on how things will pan out and even better yet actually some faith in the Angels this year.
I have never liked the idea of hiring one top player like Pujols without having quality members around him and on the pitching bench. I think we are frankly just to weak to compete with the clubs like New York or Boston. But what do I really know ? I’m not a MLB pro or some baseball future prediction wizard either. We need to continue to root on the Angels this year no matter even if we don’t make the playoffs as the owner has made a bold statement on wanting to win a world series for us fans. I have earned more respect for the ownership of the Angels and what they have brought into Las Angeles.
